Dunn, James Bow, RSA
1861 – 1930
James Dunn was born at 85 Pollock Street, Tradeston, Glasgow the son of David Dunn, Road Contractor, and his wife Margaret Robertson Thomson or Dunn. He was educated and trained in Edinburgh. In 1887 he set himself up in practice and was in partnership with T. Leslie Findlay as Dunn & Findlay from circa 1894 to 1905. In addition to his domestic architecture he was also involved in many public and commercial projects, most notably the design for 'The Scotsman' office and printing rooms.
