Law, Graham Couper, RSA

1923 – 1996

Graham Law was educated at Glasow Academy and Merchiston Castle School before studying architecture at King's College, Cambridge. He worked for a time in London and was elecetd ARIBA in 1951. He returned to Scotland and in 1957 he entered into partnership with James Dunbar-Nasmith forming the Law & Dunbar-Nasmith Partnership with offices in Edinburgh and Forres. He was particularly involved in theatre design such as the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre which both won RIBA awards. He was also involved in a number of Edinburgh Festival exhibition designs. He exhibited at the RSA from 1965 he became an Associate Member of the RSA in 1980 and an Academician in 1995.
