Pelly, Frances, RSA

Studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee from 1965 - 1971 and then at Moray House College of Education from 1972 to 1973. After a period as a secondary school teacher in Dumfriesshire she became a lecturer at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen from 1978 - 1983. She won the RSA Cranegie Travelling Scholarship in 1969 and the Guthrie award in 1972. She tends to work in clay, stone and wood and her work tends to be figure based. She has exhibited at the RSA from 1969, she became an Associate Member of the RSA in 1976 and an Academcian in 1990.
