Frazer, William Miller, RSA

1864 – 1961

Educated at Perth Academy before moving to Edinburgh in 1883 to study at the Trustees Academy and then at the RSA Life School where he won the Keith Prize. Spent a period travelling in Holland, Paris and Italy but devoted his time subsequently to painting the scenery of the Norfolk Broads,the Fens and Scotland in a loose Impressionist style. Frazer was a good friend of Robert Noble RSA and like him, he spent time painting in East Linton.Frazer exhibited at the RSA Annual Exhibitions from 1884 until 1961. He became an Associate Member in 1909 and an Academician in 1924 and was President of the Scottish Arts Club from 1926-27.
