Lizars, William Home, ARSA(Eng res.) HRSA
1788 – 1859
Son of the Edinburgh engraver and publisher Daniel Lizars. A prolific engraver of letterheads, maps, book illustrations, and the Academy's original Diploma. Elected to the distinct rank of ARSA(Engraver) in 1826 but resigned in 1830. Subsequently elected HRSA in 1834.
