Fisher, Beth L, RSA

b. 1944

Studied at University of Wisconsin in 1967 and spent a year at Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford 1964-65. Studied etching back at Wisconsin and trained as a printmaker at Oxford Polytechnic 1970-73 and etching at Glasgow School of Art 1975-76 and then printmaking at Gray's School of Art. In 1985 she became Associate Professor at University of Wisconsin and in 1986 she was guest lecturer at Chelsea College of Art and Ruskin School of Art in Oxford. In 1971-75 she was an administrator at Glasgow Print Studio and since 1976 she has been a member of Peacock Printmakers, Aberdeen. Her prints often feature children. She became an Associate Member of the RSA in 1989 and an Academician in 2005.
